Khouloud Khammassi
Khouloud Khammassi is a contributor to Youth Radio. Her work has been featured on many shows.
From 2008 to 2009 she served as a foreign affairs correspondent for Youth Radio stationed in Tunisia, North Africa. She now gathers audio from Lubbock, Texas and occassionally files general assignment reports.
Khouloud holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Linguistics from the Institut Superieur des Langues de Tunis (Tunis High Institute of Languages) in Tunis, Tunisia. She has had an international cultural, linguistic and educational experience in the United Kingdom, Egypt and the United States of America.
She is a Fulbright scholarship-recipient and taught Arabic in the Department of Modern and Classical Languages at the University of Houston in Houston, Texas.
Her research interests include intercultural studies, socio- and psycho-linguistics, language teaching planning, materials design and evaluation as well as interrelation between mass media and education.
Khouloud is fluent in five languages including Arabic, French, English, and Spanish.
