Harry Potter mania on premiere of final film
At midnight, Friday, July 15th, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 premiered at theatres around the world. It's the final movie based of the best-selling books by J. K. Rowling.
"I've been waiting for this moment for the past 11 years," said one Potter fan.
Even though there will be no more Harry Potter movies--or books, for that matter--the story will continue to live on.
"There's still a lot of things that she (Rowling) didn't tie up in the end that we could still talk about and discuss."
HP fans attempt to set world record
At 7:30 p.m. Thursday, hundreds of Potter fans donned costumes and gathered at Houston's City Centre to attempt to set the world record for the most Harry Potters in one place at one time. At 9 p.m. local time, about 150 Harry Potters lined up and stood for 10 minutes will event organizers took a head count.
There is currently no record for most Harry Potters in one place. Organizers plan to send their tally to Guinness World Records in London in hopes of making history.
