Twilighters chomping down...literally! with bloodsucking fad

There's nothing quite as disturbing as real-life Twilight-inspired vampires, right? Except these ones don't sparkle.

On the surface they appear to be ordinary people like you and me...but they're on a blood-sucking mission. Since the release of the Twilight movies, many teens have begun biting each other. Yes, biting. Sometimes even to draw blood!

Then there's also reports that some are cutting themselves so they can taste each other's blood and putting the video on Youtube.

I didn't believe it when I saw it. Check it out:

April Fools getting lame?

Playing tricks on people has long been a tradition on the first day of April. It has the potential for being one of the most fun and unique holidays of the year.

But is it just me, or are April Fools pranks getting lamer? The ones I've heard so far certainly qualify: 'Ha, made you look' and the like.

I guess my message to people is: GET FUNNIER!!!

Giving thanks and giving back

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I hope you enjoyed yours as much as I enjoyed mine.

This Thanksgiving I got the opportunity to volunteer at the Salvation Army where they were feeding the homeless. In fact, my co-host Maleeha Kamal was also there (she comes every year).

I had a great time. I came in at about 10 a.m. and was helping serve plates for over two hours. Meanwhile, Maleeha greeted people at the door. I think volunteering is one of those things you have to try before you realize how fulfilling it can be.

Anyway, later in the day me and Maleeha went down to Post Oak to see the Christmas lights turned on. Post Oak Blvd was packed with people.
